What the Reference Does
North Carolina makes many arrest and booking records accessible, but the record may live in different systems. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office operates the detention facility and its Current and Released inmate search. Sanford Police maintains P2C reports and a Daily Bulletin. The courts hold case events and dispositions. NCDAC has a separate search for state prisoners, probationers, and parolees. A focused public-record request can fill the gap when an online view does not show a needed field or photo.
The Lee County home page places those source paths together. It explains what a booking record can show, how to ask the Sheriff for a record, why the county roster does not promise a public photo, and how to distinguish local custody from state, federal, or immigration custody. It also names secondary news and aggregator sources as unofficial leads rather than treating them as government records.
Included Source Paths
The main pages organize the county’s real access points and their limits.
- County roster, released records, booking fields, photo requests, and recent-arrest timing through Lee detention.
- Sanford Police P2C and the Daily Bulletin, including the difference between an arrest, citation, incident, and accident.
- The Lee County courts and eCourts for hearing information, case events, and disposition.
- NCDAC, BOP, and ICE locators for their separate state, federal, and immigration custody roles.
- Wanted-list and local-news context, with safety, source, and accusation warnings.
Limits of This Resource
This is a privately operated reference site. It is not connected with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Lee County Detention Facility, Sanford Police, Broadway Police, North Carolina courts, NCDAC, or any other government body. It does not hold official records, confirm custody, release a person, transfer someone, post bond, arrange a visit, or give legal advice.
- It cannot change a jail, police, court, or corrections record.
- It cannot certify that a name match is the right person.
- It cannot promise that a fee, address, phone number, or public link remains unchanged.
- It does not host or re-publish booking-photo galleries.
Only the originating agency or court can verify the current status of a record. A booking, charge, or photo is an accusation or administrative record, not proof of guilt.
Search-Partner Disclosure
Some search boxes on the pages are supplied by outside providers. Those providers set their own terms, pricing, and result practices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, a referral fee may be received, which helps support the reference service. The fee does not control a government record, a search result, or the provider’s price.
